Retrieving Old Emails

Users can now retrieve unread emails which were delivered to the old email server, but never delivered to the new server.  Note that this may not at this point include read emails stored there.

Below are instructions for accessing these messages either using Webmail or your Email Client on your own computer.

Setting Up Webmail

Start by logging into your Webmail account.

Once logged in, select Options.  From the list of options, choose "POP3 Fetch Mail", down near the bottom right of the page. Enter the data as follows:

Just remember to put in your own username (not "John Smith; your username is probably "jsmith" in that case) and your own password.  The next time you log into your web mail account, or go to your inbox and click "Check mail", it should bring all your emails off the old server onto the new machine.

POP Mail Client

The following applies for users of Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird and similar mail clients.

You need to add a new account; this is generally done by selecting Tools, Accounts then selecting Add Account.

The server type is POP3, which should be the default.
The port is 110, which should again be the default.
The server is 208.181.178.13
Enter your username and password
Give the account a name if necessary, such as "Old emails"
Click "Ok" or "Save" or "Apply"

Depending upon your mail client, this will either automatically retrieve the emails the next time you do a "send and receive".  If not, you'll have to tell your client to send and receive for the specific account
