Subscribing to Old Webmail Folders

In order to view the old Webmail folders that have been migrated to the new Webmail, you will need to "Subscribe" to the folders. Once you have logged into the new Webmail at http://webmail.imagen.ca, please follow the steps below or go to http://imagen.ca/subscribe.htm for detailed instructions along with screenshots on how to "Subscribe" to the folders.

1) Click "Folders".

2) In the "Unsubscribe/Subscribe" section you will see a list of folders in the box on the right. Please note all of the folders migrated from the old Webmail contain "Emails_old_srv" in the name.

3) Select a folder you would like to view by clicking on the name.

4) Click "Subscribe". Repeat step 3 and 4 for each folder.

Changing Your Email Password

The Change Password feature can be found on the "Options" menu item at the top of the screen. Please note, you will be required to supply your existing password to submit a change. If you use an email client to view your emails, don't forget to change your password in your email client after making this change. Please follow the steps below to change your email password via Webmail.

1) Click "Options". Located near the top of the screen.

2) Click "Change Password". Located near the bottom.

3) Enter your Old password and then enter your New password twice.

4) Click "Change".

Webmail will automatically log you out. The next time you log in you will have to use your new password.

Repeated Mail Downloads

Some people are reporting that they're seeing the same emails downloaded repeatedly.  This is a client issue.  If this is happening, then check your email account (or email server) settings.  You'll find a setting called "leave mail on server", or something similar.  Turn this off, download your emails, then turn it back on.

What's happening is that the clients sometimes get confused about what emails they've actually received, and end up downloading it again.  Since they're set to leave the email on the server, they do it all over again next time.

Setting up Autoresponder rules for Vacation messages

This page - http://imagen.ca/autoresponder.htm - will help you to set a rule that will send a message in response to any emails that come in when you are going to be away.

Changing Settings

Some users may need to change their Username or Password as part of the move to the New Mail Server. You can use the information on these pages to help you change this information in your Mail program using the new Username or Password you received in your email.

If you need to change your Username and/or Password, many programs will offer you an option to enter the new ones when it first tries to connect to the server. You can enter the new information at the login screen and check off the option to remember the password and that should take care of it.

If you are not given this option you can follow the links below to see how to access the Email Account Settings in many of the common programs.
