News Server Configuration of Microsoft Outlook Express Win95/98/NT

Step 1:  Open Outlook Express

Press the "Start" button located on the taskbar, at the bottom left corner of your screen

Click "Programs" on the menu that pops up.

Move the mouse right to the "Internet Explorer" group and then click on "Outlook Express."  This will launch Outlook Express.

Step 2:  Pull Down "Tools," and select "Accounts..."

Step 3:  Add News Server Account:

Select "News" at the top and then "Add" followed by "News."

Step 4:  Your Name

Add your name and click "Next."

Step 5:  Internet E-mail Address

Add your "E-Mail Address" and click "Next."

Step 6:  Internet News Server Name

Enter   "news.lgisp.net" in the "News (NNTP) server" field and click "Next."

Step 7:  Friendly Name

Enter a name that will make it easy to remember this e-mail configuration in the "Internet news account name" field, and click  "Next."

Step 8:  Choose Connection Type

Select "Connect using my phone line" and click "Next."

Step 9:  Congratulations

Congrats, your almost done.  Click "Finish."

Step 10:  Internet Accounts

If everything was entered correctly you will see "news.imagenisp.com" show up in the list of news server.  Click "Close."

Step 11:  Download newsgroups

As soon as you click "Close" you will be greated with this window.   Click "Yes" to download the list..

Step 12:  Downloading Newsgroups

In order to view the list of newsgroups on our news server you must complete this download.   If you experience any problems, be sure to take a look at the Newsgroup faq before contacting us.
