Configuring CuteFTP 2.0 Win 95 for Imagen

Step 1:  Open CuteFTP 2.0

The default location for starting CuteFTP 2.0 is "Start, Programs, CuteFTP" and then "CuteFTP."

 

Step 2:  Add Site

First pick a folder to add the "Imagen FTP" site to.  Then click "Add site."

Step 3:  Add Host

In this step there are only five entries that must be specified.  The first entry,  "Site Label" specifies the friendly name that you will use to identify this ftp site.  In this case "My Web Site."  In the next field "Host Address" enter the domain name of your web site.  If you web site address is "www.imagenisp.com/test" then you would enter "imagenisp.com."  Under "User ID" enter your "username."  Under "Password" enter your "password."   In the  "Initial Remote Directory" specify your directory, in this case "/test."  After entering the proper information click "OK."

Step 4:  Connect to Imagen

The site that was just created will appear in the right hand window of the "FTP Site Manager."  In this case "My Web Site."   Highlight the site to connect to "My Web Site," and then click on "Connect."

Step 5:  Successful Login

If everything was successfully setup above then you will get a screen similar to the right.   The line to look for is "230 User logged in, proceed."

Step 4:  Connect to Imagen

If everything was entered correctly you will get a window similar to the one on the right.  On the left side is the directory structure of your computer and on the right you will find the directory structure of your web site.  If you have any problems please verify that you have entered the proper information in the previous steps.
